Summer Undergraduate Research Program

Overview
The Department of Molecular Biosciences at the University of Kansas offers an eight-week program of undergraduate research during the summer. Students will participate in independent research under the supervision of one of our faculty members. Areas of research include Biochemistry, Genetics, Molecular biology, Development biology, Microbiology, Immunology, Cell Biology, Bioinformatics, Genomics, Proteomics, and Neurosciences.
The program is designed to provide a full-time research experience on which to base a career decision. The experience also helps the student develop essential presentation skills. The eight-week program concludes with a poster session, at which time participants will present a poster describing their summer research achievements.
